I wasn't going to do a Gallery. Post this week, but here I am live- blogging as we walk (actually I'm plonked on the grass as O and M play 'throw the rocket'. My Mummy wrote this for me. I'm a mother, librarian and breast cancer survivor. This blog is a random assortment of things that pop into my head. Saturday, 30 April 2011. Eating book corners and leaping off a mountain. I was tagged by two lovely bloggy chums, the comical Laura at Are We Nearly There Yet Mummy. And Elsie Anderton at Babylon Lane Tales. The meme was created by Kerry at Mrs Lister Writes. Which living person do you most admire, and why? When were you last happiest? My car - she's only a Sko...

Do GP Surgeries Charge Rent? | 'kin Hodgkin's
https://lifewithlymphoma.wordpress.com/2011/06/07/do-gp-surgeries-charge-rent
039;kin Hodgkin's. Cancer is a word, not a sentence! June 7, 2011. Do GP Surgeries Charge Rent? Jake and I have been back and forth to the doctors again over the last few days. Jake with this stupid cough, and me with my back. But my back is partly to do with Jake’s cough. I am sure that soon they will start asking us to pay rent! It has until June 15th to get better, because I have a date with 5 handsome men in Cardiff! Is it just me, or has Jason Orange gotten better looking the older he is? Hope you a...

039;kin Hodgkin's. Cancer is a word, not a sentence! May 23, 2011. No, it’s not Croup. Jake has a cough. Again. Or should I say still? He seems to have had a cough almost permanently since he was about 8 months old. I remember, because the first time he went to the doctors about it, was the day that I had my operation. Sometimes it’s worse than others. It can vary between just a little tickle, to a hacking cough that keeps him (and us) up at night. 8220;No, it’s asthma.”. 8220;Are you sure? 8220;Yes, I&#...

It’s one that I hope we don’t have to make again any time soon. Those of you that follow me on Twitter, or are friends on Facebook will know that Jake has had a cough pretty much constantly since he was about 8 months old. I remember, because it was the day of my operation. He is fine in himself. No temperature, not miserable. He was running around s...My po...

New Year, New Adventure. Starting over and living my life for me! Thursday, 29 April 2010. I feel like I'm all over the place today. My brain has gone all mushy and I cant concentrate, I've got 101 ideas going round in my brain and a To Do list as long as my arm. There's not enough hours in the day to get everything done and even if there were more hours I'd probably spend them on Twitter! I'm clingy and needy but no-ones answering their texts or emails. Posted grumpily using BlogPress. Links to this post.

039;kin Hodgkin's. Cancer is a word, not a sentence! June 1, 2011. I am fed up of being constantly ill. I finished chemo nine months ago, so you’d think by now that my immune system would be back up to scratch, but no. I have pretty much been constantly ill for the last month, with a reprieve of a few days here and there. 30 at the end of the month, so intend on letting my hair down, and I have a nagging feeling that I will be on antibiotics, so will be the driver of the evening. It does make it scary...

039;kin Hodgkin's. Cancer is a word, not a sentence! July 29, 2010. Six months ago today…. 8230;I was coming round from surgery and waiting to be taken back to my room. I was told that I’d be going into Intensive Care after my op, as if they performed the thoracotomy. I’d need a lot of looking after as it was such a big op. When I woke up and they told me they couldn’t do it and did a thoracoscopy. And took a biopsy instead, well, that’s when I knew. So, six months on and how has my life changed? It̵...

039;kin Hodgkin's. Cancer is a word, not a sentence! June 9, 2011. In just over 2 weeks, I will be in London for this years CyberMummy. I was unable to go last year due to chemo and the such like. However, this year I shall be there with bells on, and I am fortunate enough to have been sponsored by the lovely people at emla. Is something I only heard about fairly recently, but I so wish I knew about it when I was going through chemo and having lots and lots of needles. While I’ve always been OK wit...

039;kin Hodgkin's. Cancer is a word, not a sentence! June 27, 2011. Life, Love and Lollipops. This weekend was the long awaited “Mummy Blogger’s” conference, CyberMummy11. I had been looking forward to it for ages. I couldn’t wait to see bloggers that I had previously met, and meet others that I felt I already knew. Although, part of me wondered if I was out of my depth. This blog, ‘kin Hodgkin’s started as a cancer blog. And there was plenty of cancer to blog about. What if it’s all for nothing? I don&#...
