Plane spotting around the world. CYYZ Toronto (18-05-2010) Part 2. The second day was more sunny! My first plan of the day was to go to the Aviation World shop. ( www.aviatioworld.net. I went out with an MD-11 model plane and a book about severe weather. Winds always came from East, so I decided to go again on Dixie Rd for 05 approach. When I arrived there, the wind shifted to the south, which gave arrivals on the 05 and 06 runway. Exactly the opposite of were I was! As these pictures show it.

Plane spotting around the world. CYYZ Toronto (17-05-2010) Part 1. During my 3 days in Toronto, dominants winds came from east and north. Obviously, this is what I didn't want because the configuration for runways were bad for spotting. Arrivals on runways 05, 06L and 06R are relatively hard to photograph. Nevertheless, her is the result of my first day. I was happy to take a picture of these 2 future European Dash 8! Westjet with special livery. EK241 from Dubai came during the rush hour.

Before going to the airport, I looked some weather radars and saw a few storms cells. When I arrived on the third floor of the airport parking, the sky was fabulous! Some cells were on the south side of Yul, and another one was on north, going to east. The storm was heading east. Nice contrast, a blue sky and a plane race.

Flight from Frankfurt is now upgraded to a B777 at place of an A330. US Airways with "Star Alliance livery"(N828MD). Later the same day, I can saw that's not the only plane with this theme. Air Canada Jetz, with "U2" livery. (Sorry for the haze.). I thing there were no passangers, and the crew decided to have fun! The MD-11, always impressive!
