Coping

Laquo; I admire the effort. May 14th, 2015 Author: Mary. In challenging times, one of the ways I cope is to count my blessings. When I find myself just focusing on the negatives or being overwhelmed, thinking about how lucky I am brings a sense of perspective. So after a long conversation, lab work, and an X-ray, we have a plan of care that will involve changes to his diet and medication but no further diagnostic procedures at this time. 30 Responses to “Coping”. Today’s a work day although my job is directing directing workmen (including Keith) and making phone calls. Can’t wait to bring Chesty to the park across the street! 18 Responses to “Progress”. Seams Sew Simple: July 2012
http://happierdocsly.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 25, 2012. Life is about using all the crayons in the box. Another color vivid to my life this past week was yellow. I spent six days working the field with colleagues from Ohio. We are working with teachers to promote innovation in their classrooms to make the learning more relevant and culturally appropriate. I feel bright yellow when I think about the changes in these Native American childrens' education as the result of the planning their teachers did last week. Monday, July 9, 2012.

Seams Sew Simple: From second floor to basement
http://happierdocsly.blogspot.com/2012/10/from-second-floor-to-basement.html
Wednesday, October 31, 2012. From second floor to basement. When Vince and I bought our home in 1997, we were the fifth family to live in this house. The first project was to put an egress window in the lower level room (originally the maid's sitting room) and add a shower in the space taken from the laundry room. This was the first student bedroom we had and when the college students stopped living with us, it became the guest room. So the moving has begun. I will post pictures later today. Last Minute ...

Tuesday, October 26, 2010. Colorful Scenery and Quilt Shops. Monday, October 25, 2010. We've Got It Covered. Sunday, October 24, 2010. We came back to Hershey and went to Chocolate World which is very near where we are staying. A family friendly spot with loads of little ones on this sweet Sunday. I loved the figures adorning the building where we spent a brief amount of time learning about how chocolate is made. Milton Hershey was a very benevolent soul. Saturday, October 23, 2010. Seams Sew Simple: February 2012
http://happierdocsly.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 15, 2012. Tuesday, February 14, 2012. For my sewing room and by the phone. My grandmother gave me some old Mason jars (blue) and of course I have old awards (wooden plaques) laying around. For the phone, I combined the two with an old fork that I bent into a hook for keys and away we go. Sunday, February 12, 2012. Tuesday, February 7, 2012. Can't Believe It is February. The decoration above is something I saw on Pinterest and decided to replicate for Valentine's Day. Buttons, whit...

Seams Sew Simple: Sunday - all day
http://happierdocsly.blogspot.com/2013/05/sunday-all-day.html
Sunday, May 5, 2013. Sunday - all day. I challenged myself to drive to the Walmart to shop for some necessary items. I was in the store walking for about an hour. When I got home I knew I had pushed myself but I was OK. I was able to finish re-potting the planters damaged by the hail last summer. Now I have a room full of plants ready to be released to the deck. Now we have to wait for warmer air. Spent a little time Pinterest as well. Just gets my creative juices going!
