Shetland Ponies in Sweaters. The Viking Shetland Pony Show 2015. Every year the Shetland Pony Breeders of Shetland host The Viking Shetland Pony Show in Lerwick. I went off this morning armed with my camera to the Show. How many horse shows have this for a view? Anywho, the first ponies to grab my eye/camera were Fivla, Charlie and Andy in the ridden ring. They were very happy with their young jockeys who were doing very well. So proud (sniff). 8230; and anyone snoozing! Lazing on a Sunday afternoon.

Shetland Ponies in Sweaters. It’s my birthday today so I can do whatever I want. So this morning, I chose to go out for a ride on Klaengur. Daisy rode Kappi and we had a fast, enthusiastic time tölting to Dale and back. Way to go! The perfect birthday start. Shetland Ponies in Sweaters. Nick here again – Frances is incapacitated! Down here in Watford we’ve been lucky to escape the worst of the flooding, however our garden is still very muddy. Hence when it’s time to feed the chickens, aka Rosie and Cinnamon, drastic measures are called for. The food goes down very quickly, and has to be kept away from the slugs, who love it. They are remarkably endearing, and getting much tamer as they approach 1 year old. And to think they used to look like this….

He is still fed twice a day – once in the morning (1 litre of milk and a scoop of hard feed) and then again in the afternoon (1litre of milk). I always tip up his bowl with my foot. The geese were so close at one point that Darby sneezed and caused a big kerfuffle by scaring one goose into spreading his wings in attack mode!
