It’s just rained. April 20, 2014. I’m resting on the couch now. the windows are all open. it’s just rained, so the air is soft and wet, slightly cool. there are stunning gladiolas on the mantel, and the smell of flowering trees comes in with the breeze. the sky through the tall windows is a light gray, but bright. i’m under a warm comfortable blanket. Just recently, like… yesterday, i realized that i needed to work on balance. not work with play, as i might’ve done years ago, but with an eye to specifics. as usual for these days, pain was the prompt. I took photos earlier. i’m trying to get out into the world every day and take a few shots. my friend, P., planted the seed. i collect tangible evidence of my brain working to comfort me on days my body won’t.
