Sunday, August 28, 2005. Absinthe party at the fly honey warehouse. Near the end of their set, some drunken guy walked across the stage, then proceeded to walk on top of the row of couches along the side of the club. It was pretty funny. The band played for about 1hr 10mins total with one encore. Great night. Everyone left satisfied with the performance and I was glad I chose to attend the show. Thanks gut instinct, you did well. After the event, I decided to score a Wendy's Classic Triple meal. Complete with three patties, the sandwich looked a bit intimidating but I managed to scarf it down no problem. Monday, June 27, 2005. Went swingdancing Saturday and Sunday night. This past weekend was the Vancouver Lindy Exchange. I had some great dances and met many new people. Saturday night was probably the best night of dancing I've had all year. The battle of the bands between the 51st Eight and The Damsels Undistressed was very enjoyable. Lola, my 13-year-old, had left her bedroom light on. She did not seem to be home. I rembered that she had a gymnastics party that night. A swirl of color and laughter with a dash of creeping awkwardness. Will work for money. Summer is coming and the plan is to work my little behind off. I need to make money. Lots and lots and lots of money. So far I have one job, and one interview, and a childwelfare clearance form on the way. Hopefully I will soon have 3 jobs. The plan is to have a day job, work 3 days a week serving, and do one day a week of respite care. If I'm lucking, I might even be able to pick up some casual work on the side.
