Vagabond-ing: Europe: Land of da Deutsch!
http://vagabondeurope.blogspot.com/2007/06/land-of-da-deutsch.html
Land of da Deutsch! Well, I never made it to Strasbourg. . . Today I have spent walking around the city and checking out some of the museums. The city itself is very interesting; everything that was firebombed in WWII they decided to replace with modern buildings. The city is a mixture of both new and old, dating back to medeival times, but holding the only true city skyline in Germany. I am famished and am going to go search for food now, so until next time! I arrived in Salzburg, Austria yesterday to pouring rain and kind of bad weather. Quickly it became evident the weather in this country is insane, so one must carry an unmbrella at all times. Surely you can feel our jealously! You are amazing and we ar so proud that you are being so adventurous! Land of da Deutsch!

Vagabond-ing: Europe: Milano, Firenze, and Onward!
http://vagabondeurope.blogspot.com/2007/07/milano-firenze-and-onward.html
Milano, Firenze, and Onward! I finally figured out what the plan was after a bit of deliberation before I left Milano: Firenze - Venezia - Innsbruck - Munchen. . . and back to Milano (only for a day! Afterwards I will then do Southern Italia, even though between the men and the sun it would be the best idea for me to get out of this country :-D. So my few days in Milano were absolutely. Despite the harassment I dealt with because I look absolutely. While pointing at myself]. The time spent in Milano was ...

Vagabond-ing: Europe: Back to Paris
http://vagabondeurope.blogspot.com/2007/06/back-to-paris.html
Today I spent in Paris and decided it was finally time for me to go do those touristy things I hadn't done yet, so I headed to the Lourve. There was absolutely too much to take in all at once; you could probably spend weeks in there! I made a point to see the most notable paintings and sculptures and then just wandered the rest of the time. Being easily distracted, I was completely lost because I was just wandering toward whatever caught my eye. And then heading into Spain for a couple of weeks. Sounds l...

Vagabond-ing: Europe: Scratch That: Southern Italy here I come!
http://vagabondeurope.blogspot.com/2007/07/scratch-that-southern-italy-here-i-come.html
Scratch That: Southern Italy here I come! So the original plan of Firenze - Venezia - Innsbruck - Munchen was scratched after I was informed my package (the whole reason to go back to Munchen) never arrived, so I stayed on track with the first half of the plan, but. . . Everyone kept telling me I was crazy and it couldn't be done because it is 50 km away by car. The mountain is right there! How is a mountain closed? After Pompei, I moved on to Napoli. It was a fun time there, just enjoying the sun an...

I am alive in Milano and have my friend's parents to save me if I pick any fights with Sicilians at bars. . . not that anything like that has happened. . . :-D In Italia internet access and ATMs seem to be scarce, so if you do not see any posts for a week, no worries I am still alive! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Swiss cheese, chocolate, and illegal banking. Land of da Deutsch! On my own. . . Lisa vs. France: Paris. . . via Germany. View my complete profile.

Paris . . or not. My flight to Paris just wasn't fitting into my social schedule, so looks like I will be in Dublin for a bit longer until I can catch another cheap one. Until I finally manage to get to Paris I am staying at the flat of some friend of a family friend. I am safe, alive, and well. Fish and Chips. . . and Mexican? I've almost been in Dublin for a week now and I think it would be a shame if I hadn't learned anything at all, so here is some of what I have gotten out of my experience so far:.
