Thursday, 2 January 2014. Early May saw us in the Cairngorms, the weather prospects did not look good, with high winds and sleet forecast on the tops. The first morning dawned cold, wet and windy. Not being prepared to spend the day following a compass bearing in unpleasant conditions, we decided on low level walk to Ryvoen Bothy. Where I'm supposed to checkout all my novice blunders. Saturday, 20 August 2011. My PC is an HP Compaq Presario Desktop SR1539 UK, it has four memory slots and the Maximum Memory is 4GB. Currently two of the slots hold 512 MG of DDR PC3200 and two are empty giving a total of 1GB installed. Most new PC’s these days are sold with 2 or 3 GB of memory, so it seems logical that my PC could do with more memory. I’ve checked out a few memory sellers on the Internet, I found Crucial. I’ve now installed the new chips, following the brief but accurate instructions and booted up the PC. Perfect, the new memory has been recognised and I now have 3GB of working RAM.
