Peter said to Him, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” And He said, “Come! 8221; And Peter got out of the boat, and walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But seeing the wind, he became frightened, and beginning to sink, he cried out, “Lord, save me! 8221; Immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and took hold of him, and said to him, “You of little faith, why did you doubt? My life has been full of valleys and mountaintop experiences, yet I have seen God using these life experiences to mold, teach and prepare me to serve Him more. Through it all, I have become closer to Him and continue to learn about becoming more like Christ. G to Hell if I didn’t get baptized. I also remember wondering, So, where do I fit into this all now? 2 Responses to “ROBERT”. Hannes van Niekerk, Perth. April 25, 2014 at 4:59 am. January 17, 2011 at 8:36 pm. ukiahlight: Oliver! Choruses

http://ukiahlight-maggie.blogspot.com/2012/06/oliver-choruses.html

Tuesday, June 5, 2012. This musical has tunes with multiple part harmonies and needs lots of voices to be its best. The adult chorus members sometimes are there just for their singing, but they are in costume too:. Loes has great voice and was in several scenes. Charles the knife seller (his son Graham also helps him with this). This young lady who sells strawberries. Isabelle and Laura (aka Widow Corney) who sell milk. More Chorus members waiting to go on. Sunday, December 4, 2011. Had fun making a Gruffalo costume for the latest pantomime performed here. There were lots of positive comments on the outfit, no doubt more due to the wonderful roaring and running about by the first-time actor wearing the mask and suit. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). ukiahlight: Oliver characters

http://ukiahlight-maggie.blogspot.com/2012/06/oliver-characters.html

Tuesday, June 5, 2012. Star of the show, 12 year old Suraj has a great voice and presence. He will be in a lot more productions I think. He is seen here with Mr. Brownlow and with Fagin. Villian of the piece, Bill Sykes, played by Benedikt. At 6'2", he could be intimidating just by walking up close, never mind the sneer, the growl and the menace he portrayed. Nancy, Bill's girlfriend, is played by Laura, who teaches during the days and loves to act and sing. She makes characters come alive. My best Muzun...

ukiahlight: Changes

http://ukiahlight-maggie.blogspot.com/2012/09/changes.html

Wednesday, September 12, 2012. Some times I marvel at how well all things work together. Yesterday was one of those days. No snafus with the copy machines at HIS, finished with all the work by 11 and on my way home. Got in a good nap and enjoyed house group very much. Today, spent over 5 hours just sorting data sheets, sending out notices to ministry team leaders giving contact names, etc for newcomers who want to help out. Felt like I was slogging through mud up to my knees. Patrick and Joan's Blog.

ukiahlight: October 2011

http://ukiahlight-maggie.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html

Monday, October 3, 2011. A day in the life. Last evening I joined two sheets to make a room dividing curtain and mended one pair of trousers for one guard, and hemmed 8 cleaning cloths for one of our long term volunteers. Today was pretty varied. Here is a short list of the things done:. Sent resources (Stephen and tools) to open a stuck door for a staff person trapped in their bathroom. Manned/womaned the eMi gate for 45 minutes, while hand pruning some plants and pulling weeds from between the pavers.

ukiahlight: Cooking local style

http://ukiahlight-maggie.blogspot.com/2012/06/cooking-local-style.html

Friday, June 8, 2012. One of the common, favorite foods for Ugandans here is Matooke, a banana that is soft when cooked and served with sauces of various kinds. Heritage School organized an appreciation lunch for support staff this week. Each of us was asked to bring some food for them. I decided to make matooke. How hard could it be? It is a lot like mashed potatoes. So, one bunch of matooke. Broken/cut off into a pile and ready to peel. Just the sap from the matooke. It does scrub off. That done, worke...

Saturday, August 27, 2011. Today, there was a wedding downtown for the sister of a young friend of ours. I elected not to attend, but Florence went to the wedding, Miriam and Rachel will attend the reception held out our way. At Watoto Church, weddings are booked on the hour, every two hours. If you are late, too bad. It is now 4:20 and Rachel just finished showering, Miriam is next. They will arrive fashionably late and have a great time, taking even more photos than Florence did at the wedding. This al...

ukiahlight: Backstage crew

http://ukiahlight-maggie.blogspot.com/2012/06/backstage-crew.html

Wednesday, June 6, 2012. Behind the scenes are many support people. There is a Director, who envisions, teaches, encourages, corrects, re-visions and leads everyone to become more than they thought was possible. Here is Trudy, relaxing at the after-production party. She looks 10 years younger than she did just 24 hours earlier! And every Director benefits from a competent, experienced Assistant Director. Angie filled that role to a T, and also joined in some of the fun on stage as well. In a quiet corner...

ukiahlight: New dog

http://ukiahlight-maggie.blogspot.com/2012/09/new-dog.html

Thursday, September 13, 2012. Kilo is a perfect gentleman. Doesn't cause trouble, is quiet and well mannered, helps out where he can. A few days after Tiger died I went to Uganda's one and only pet shelter to talk with the manager there about my need for a guard type dog. Shiraf would be really noisy if he were the only dog here, not to mention spoiled. So glad the shelter is there and knows its animal well. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). 8220;There is No Book that Cannot Help Us”. October 19, 2014. 8220;There is No Book that Cannot Help Us”. I’ll never forget that response. In the summer of 2013 I visited a school in Nakuru County, Kenya. It was one of the very first tours of a primary school I was given, and a conversation I had while I was there made a profound effect on my heart. Let me introduce you to the people in the conversation. From left to right: Chief Kipkrui, Headmaster Josephat Ndungu, and Fred. Now for the second challenge.

MZUNGU MARGOT | The Tales of a Student Teacher in Kampala, Uganda

The Tales of a Student Teacher in Kampala, Uganda. Just Another Day in Paradise. March 6, 2015. March 6, 2015. I’ve realized that I’m a terrible blogger. I wish I was keeping this blog up to date more often because I have so much to say, that by the time I get a few free minutes, I don’t feel like I can get it all out! I’ve been keeping myself busy with quite a few things:. 3) My dad and family friends from Denmark (Mauritania and Norway) came to visit. It was so lovely having people over because it ...

In the US, it seems like anyone who dies with children college age or younger, or is under 60 has met a tragic death.
