The adventures of Blossom - a Nordhavn 60. Where are we now? Tuesday, July 12, 2016. Cruising up the “inner banks” of NC. The past two weeks have been truly lovely. We’ve had an amazing time buddy boating with our friends Jo and Robbie, cruising through NC and into Virginia via the ICW. The area is as beautiful as it is remote. We’ve enjoyed several pretty anchorages, exploring in the dinghy (looking for bear, fox, deer, alligators – without much success! Barge on the waterway. Mellow day on the water.

The adventures of Blossom - a Nordhavn 60. Where are we now? We began our boating adventure in 2009 when we lived aboard our 43’ Tiara, “I Got Lucky”. After 6 months of cruising Florida and the Exumas we were hooked! Fast forward to 2014 and we are about to take delivery of our next boat, a Nordhavn 60, called Blossom. Martin is an engineer and likes all things mechanical. Stephanie trained as an anthropologist and loves to travel. As team, we hope to enjoy many years of adventure aboard Blossom!

Sunday, September 28, 2014. Comfort in the familiar. We are once again under way. In the Chesapeake, on the final leg to the York River. The bay is like glass today. This morning found us in a very familiar place, anchored just outside of the Jackson Creek entrance on the Piankatank River ( map. We could see the docks at Deltaville Boatyard and Marina from there, although we were too far to get their WiFi signal. We were treated to a spectacular sunset over Stove Point after dinner.
