On the corner of warm and toasty: Nothing Whatever
http://challyjames.blogspot.com/2009/08/so-my-life-is-officially-in-limbo-and.html
On the corner of warm and toasty. Monday, August 31, 2009. So my life is officially in limbo and will be for the next couple of weeks, which is not necessarily a bad thing especially considering I am being paid to be in limbo; however it leaves me with an inordinate amount of free time. Initially I was excited by the prospect of unlimited free time until I discovered there are a limited amount of things to fill your day with especially when everyone you know is either working, or gone. I hope you enjoy it.

A Rant of Insignificance. Here's an example of what I'm referring to: "If you crossed Moby Dick and the Wizard of Oz with Paul Auster and Haruki Murakami you might get something like Hall's debut.". There are a limited number of things you should cross:. Horse and donkey = mule. Bull Dog and Shitzu = mut. Things you don't cross.

As they smoked it began to snow. 8220;I’ve got it! 8221; said Mike. 8220;Snow is full of holiday cheer.” He ran out into the snow and started catching snowflakes on his tongue. http://challyjames.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
On the corner of warm and toasty. Saturday, August 2, 2008. In the afternoon me and my friend Ben jumped into his Toyota Corolla with a change of clothes some climbing gear and several bags of delicious beef jerky. After two weeks of miserably hot weather I had decided if I had to spend one more day in Raleigh I was going to forsake clothing altogether in protest. Fortunately for all of us it didn’t have to come to that. Ben drove recklessly and several times I feared for my life. We went back to. There ...

On the corner of warm and toasty: Europe Part II: Cinque Terre
http://challyjames.blogspot.com/2010/06/europe-part-ii-cinque-terre.html
On the corner of warm and toasty. Sunday, June 13, 2010. Europe Part II: Cinque Terre. I speak about as much Italian as Brad Pitt, but I’m pretty sure Cinque Terre literally means “five earths” which is the Italian way of saying five cities. So named because Cinque Terre consists of five cities located on the. Riomaggiore, Corniglia, Monterrosso, and two others which have names but I can’t remember them. These cities are all connected by a trail approximately 5-6 miles long. We found a middle aged baldin...

In a panic I turned around and grabbed an expired, un-refrigerated juice off a sale rack and set it on the counter. This satisfied the three dollar requirement and I was able to walk off with my purchases. How do you know him? Well his 2nd cousin fixed the plumbing in my house.". Her husband's brother married my wife's second cousin" (for some reason it's always second cousins). What about that guy?

On the corner of warm and toasty: Europe Part I: Rome
http://challyjames.blogspot.com/2009/10/europe-part-i-rome.html
On the corner of warm and toasty. Friday, October 16, 2009. Europe Part I: Rome. There are no drinking fountains in. This was the first thing I realized upon arriving in Milan Italy because this was the first thing I looked for after spending eight and a half hours in a plane where water was rationed out in Dixie cups once every two to three hours. I know this because this is exactly what I would be doing if I were a steward. So I arrived in. At around 8 in the morning. Was poorly thought out. I made it ...
