The bot is controlled by an Arduino microcontroller, has two 12V geared motors for locomotion, and 5 AA batteries that source power. The mcu itself is powered by a 9v battery. Motor controlled is achieved with a Polulu motor controller based on the Freescale MC38877 chip. A differential drive system has been adopted here as it simplifies the design.
