Nanophysik
Im Bereich der Nanophysik werden organische Halbleiter, künstliche Nanostrukturen, atomare Drähte, magnetische und ferroelektrische Nanopartikel untersucht. Als Nanophysik bezeichnet man das Erforschen, Bearbeiten und die Produktion von Gegenständen und Strukturen, die kleiner als einhundert Nanometer sind. Die Welt des Nano ist noch kleiner als das was wir gemeinhin als Mikrokosmos bezeichnen. Diese Welt des ganz kleinen, unter 100 Nanometer, wird Nanokosmos genannt.
