Spiritual thoughts to consider. Monthly Archives: August 2013. Wow, What a Summer! In just over a week, my kids will climb on the school bus for their first day of school. It seems crazy that this summer is coming to a close, but as I sit and reflect on it, I can see some awesome ways that God was at work in our teens. In June, we took three of our high school students to Nashville, TN for IMPACT. A week-long camp held at Lipscomb University. Steve Davidson, Brad Childers. Grace and peace,.

A rabbi asked his students, When is it at dawn that one can tell the light from the darkness? One student replied, When I can tell a goat from a donkey. No, answered the rabbi. Another said, When I can tell a palm tree from a fig. No, answered the rabbi again. Well, then what is the answer? His students pressed him. I sense...

A conversation between two friends who are transitioning out of simply "doing" church and into adventurously "being" God's partner in His mission in the world. Monday, January 31, 2005. What do you see? What do you see? Scot, what do you see in this picture? People are so hungry for entertainment! But then I noticed the title Passion of Christ. I’ve seen the Passion of Christ and it most certainly is not entertaining. As a Christian who knows the story well, I was riveted! Who would have ever imagined?

This morning, she "interrupted" worship. How dare she! Our worship team had just finished calling us to worship and I stood up to wax eloquently about the theme of the day. Currently, our worship is centering on the fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5. So, with a gulp, I acknowledged the hand and her and said, ". Her words were ...
