National Trust Addict

Thursday, 13 August 2015. Yesterday, me and the bee took a little trip to the Peak District. Oh my, we have been talking about this trip for at least two years, and we have never actually made it. But wow, it was worth the wait. What a beautiful place to be. We started our walk through the beautiful village of Ilam. The village was remodelled in this Swiss Alpine design which just set my heart a flutter! We shared our walk with lots of sheep, cows and birds! How was that for a gorgeous day out? It has be...

National Trust Addict: October 2014

http://www.nationaltrustaddict.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html

Sunday, 26 October 2014. Clumber in the Autumn. Last time we visited Clumber. Another autumn camping adventure. This time, somewhere new, a National Trust campsite in Clumber Park, deep in the heart of Sherwood Forest. A sweet little site, quite basic, but just fine however we were one of only two tents camping. When I booked our little trip, the lady said that we must be mad, and that we were. It was the best decision even though we did have a fun getaway! Saturday, 25 October 2014. After a good romp in...

National Trust Addict: August 2014

http://www.nationaltrustaddict.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html

Sunday, 31 August 2014. Today we drove down to Upton House in Oxfordshire for a tractor ride around the estate. The wider Upton estate is made up of private farms which maintain arable and grazing fields. The tractor ride took us around the different working fields of the estate, showing us oat fields that were being cultivated by training racehorses, a living bird feed table, working woodland and lots of sheep! It was lead by the estate manager who also runs the Birds and Bee's. Saturday, 30 August 2014.

National Trust Addict: April 2015

http://www.nationaltrustaddict.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html

Thursday, 16 April 2015. The second stop on my Cotswold excursion found me at Chastleton House. Little did I know that it was the actual Wolf Hall in the recent TV series! This imposing Jacobean manor was the epitome of country life (apparently! And has features dating from the 1600s up to the 20th century. It was an absolutely wonderful trip out, just some peaceful time to myself. One happy lady. Wednesday, 15 April 2015. After a beautiful drive through the sandy coloured Cotswolds, I arrived at Snowshi...

National Trust Addict: Kinwarton Dovecote

http://www.nationaltrustaddict.blogspot.com/2015/08/kinwarton-dovecote.html

Sunday, 9 August 2015. When I left Coughton Court this afternoon, I thought I would pop down the road (via a ford, that was scary! To this lovely little Dovecote in Alcester. Can you believe the walls are 1 metre thick? And it has hundreds and hundreds of little hidy holes for feathered friends. Considering it is the only remains of what was once an Abbey, it is wonderfully preserved. A very sweet little stop indeed. 10 August 2015 at 10:16. Thank you for stopping by! National Trust Addict: February 2015

http://www.nationaltrustaddict.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html

Saturday, 28 February 2015. A spring visit to Baddesley Clinton didn't disappoint. This is always my go to place when the weather is a bit dull and soggy, the atmosphere is just so unique here on these days. Just perfect. Anyway, they have done a fantastic job injecting some early spring colour into the entire area. Beautiful boxes in the carpark to violet crocus around the moat. The sparse garden had spots of colour in the borders, just enough to remind you that spring is just around the corner. It was ...
