This series concerns the second and last part of what I have produced during our two weeks of stay. In part one you can read that not all was going very smoothly, but eventually, that leads to more satisfaction when returning home with nice results. Partly because of the high temperatures, the days mainly consisted of looking up for shade or swimming in the river. Remarkably was the strong cooling in the early evenings. After eight hours, I stopped recording, partly because the skin with dragonfly came loose and slid down. The new situation hampered further for making good images. The entire process to fly has lasted at least ten hours. In my view, a very long time, and especially since the animal is very vulnerable then. Polen, Biebrzanski Park Naradowy 2016. Donderdag 30 juli 2015. Het voedsel van een Wespendief bestaat voornamelijk uit honing en larven van vrije bijenvolken. Deze Wespendief had een nest in de buurt en vloog met enige regelmaat aan om voedsel naar het nest te brengen. Op deze foto is echter te zien dat hij niet alleen van Honing leeft, want hier heeft hij overduidelijk een kikker in zijn klauwen, waarmee hij naar het nest vliegt. Donderdag 11 juni 2015. Woensdag 20 mei 2015. De slakken, een ergernis voor de tuin bezitter maar mooi zijn ze toch! Woensdag 6 mei 2015. Deze steltloper is op door trek naar de taiga's wat zijn broedgebied is. Zijn nest is te vinden in de dichte vegetatie. In Afrika overwintert hij, een geluk dat hij zo dicht bij de camera kwam, meestal lukt het niet om hem zo op de plaat te krijgen. Maandag 4 mei 2015.
