An everyday tale of our life as liveaboards on our narrowboat with our cats Soona and Sid. Sunday, 29 April 2012. Mmm, well I had read other peoples blogs recently and several have mentioned a new layout on blogger but the last time I updated it was as usual so assumed it hadn't affected me but it has now! Just logged on to do a new post and all change, I suppose 'they' have their reasons, so here goes. Despite the April showers we are really enjoying the Lancaster Canal. It's quite impressive, above.

When we crossed the Ribble Link in April the weather was dreadful, wind and rain, never mind we said, it'll be a better crossing when we go back down in June. Pah! A Cruising Diary of our Barge Amy plus the occaisional bits of our liveaboard life. Friday, 18 December 2009. Some Pics of our Lilian. She is now almost 6mths old. I think we have been the luckiest parents on the planet. Since she was 2 mths she sleeps on average 10-11 hours a night when she decided her bedtime was 8pm sometimes 7pm following a busy baby type day. She gobbled up her first bowl in 1 sitting often grabbing the spoon to try and feed herself. Links to this post. Its time for a few photo's.

Not as early as we had expected because Lilian decided she was having a lie in and didn't wake up till quarter to eight meaning she had slept for nearly 12hours. Its typical isn't it, you trust her to be your alarm clock and get you up at her normal time of 6.30am and she lets you over sleep. It was then the turn of Amy.

For months they had been sitting in my mates stable in Wales and then in the boot of my car waiting for the new owner to arrange collection. Eventually I got fed up of waiting and managed to lodge them at my daughters hse in Ramsgate thinking i might as well try and sell them on Ebay. Links to this post. Time is catching up.

We had no sooner waved Pete and Sharon off and the pain that had been nagging me increased to a crescendo! Now we knew what was wrong we could get back to boating. So we caught the bus back to Northampton and met up with Brenda and Mick who just arrived on their boat as we got back to ours, what perfect timing.
