Just one thing left to decide will it be Hull or Newcastle going down? Hull need to beat Man Utd who mathematically still have a chance of 3rd place if they thrash Hull and Arsenal lose to West Brom. One game doesn't make a season and it's still way too early to get carried away, but if that is a taste of things to come just maybe I've been wrong about Bilic? On the evidence of the Europa league games the players didn't seem to be buying in to his style of play and actually looked worse than some of the bad games last season. Wednesday, 22 January 2014. West Ham Colts 1959. Probably the oldest West Ham programme I own is this one from the 1958/9 season, this was the Quarter final replay against Aston Villa which they won 3-2. In the Semi-final they beat Arsenal 2-1 on aggregate after drawing the home leg 1-1 they won the away leg 1-0. The FA Youth cup final saw them take on Blackburn, again they drew the home leg 1-1 but they narrowly lost 1-0 in the second leg to a disputed goal in extra time. Saturday, 18 January 2014.

Monday, 4 May 2015. Sad news that Jimmy Greaves has suffered a stroke :(. Best wishes to him and his family that he pulls through and can carry on a near normal life. Jimmy is one of the legends of English football, 44 goals in only 57 games for England although sadly injured during the 1966 World cup triumph, where his replacement Geoff Hurst filled his boots so well that Jimmy couldn't get back into the team (no substitutes back then).
