Stones, Shadows, and Ashes. Being slightly tounge in cheek). Jan 28th, 2009 at 8:11 AM. Dear Frost Thurses,. Pull up a seat. Would you like something to drink? I have some iced tea, which I made a couple of days ago when it was 77 degrees and seemed like iced tea weather. I must say, that was quite a cold front! There's talk they might close schools because of ice on roads. So are you going to be staying long? Or are you going to leave again in a day or two and let it get back up into the 80's here?

Stones, Shadows, and Ashes. Indo European/Slavic and Loki. Jan 30th, 2009 at 11:29 AM. This was brought up in Lokeans. http:/ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Veles. Click on the first one and it takes you to the entry. Apparently direct linking leads to frustration. I dunno. Anyway, this query in Lokeans led me to wondering, just how close is Indo European to Norse? Is it the root? Completely different. And why? 3 comments Leave a comment. Jan 30th, 2009 05:54 pm (UTC). What are your views on mysticism? What are your views on mysticism? Laquo; previous entry. Next entry ». Oct 28th, 2005 12:33 pm. I just finished reading Why God Won't Go Away. Which is a really intersesting book by some neroscientists who basically believed that it's hardwired into our brains to be mystical, and that's why mysticism of various sorts has been found in cultures all over the world. Personally, I think I've always been a pretty mystical person. My family isn't religious, so I struggle w...

The bit about not being able to serve 2 masters? Given that we're polytheists (and pretty staunchly poly - none of this 'aspects' stuff.), I'm not sure that the 'one master' thing really does apply, at least in the general sense (fulltrui type relationships would be another story). We draw the Exclucivity line? I've read some fairly sneering ...

Sitting-out', which was interesting, and I've done some other stuff that's not terribly relevant to my current view of Heathenry back in my 'seeker' phase (Tarot never worked for me, I Ching divination seemed to work for a while when I was in high school, that sort of thing). The Boar - Tribalist Heathenry. Laquo; previous entry. Next entry ». Nov 6th, 2005 05:38 am. I mention all of this as a prelude to the following questions. What role do you think animal imagery played among our ancestors? In what ways might you revive such roles in modern times and in what ways, if any, do you see this linking us to the ancient tribes and clans of our ancestors? What role does animal imagery play to you and within your own groups? Nov 6th, 2005 01:59 pm (UTC). Nov 6th, 2005 05:09 pm (UTC).
