Once you’re in Nelson, find your way to Upper Moutere on the inland highway heading to Motueka. Neudorf Road is the first major road on the left past Upper Moutere and our signpost will point 1.3 kilometres to our gateway. And of course you can buy Neudorf wine 24 hours a day, seven days a week from our on line shop. We officially start our summer Open every day from 10 am until 5.00pm.

Because there was so little known about basic viticulture in New Zealand we planted many varieties to see which ones were best suited to our soils. Merlot came and went as did Cabernet Sauvignon, Chenin Blanc and the dreaded Muller Thurgau. We were a bit hasty in rejecting Gewürztraminer and may look at that again.
