Neuroeconomics lab is a SIDlab located at the Service, Innovation and Design campus in Leppävaara, 11 kilometers from downtown Helsinki in Finland. The SID campus belongs to Laurea University of Applied Sciences. Neuroeconomics combines behavioral sciences, neuroscience, economics, and social sciences in order to study how people make decisions and choices. In our neuroeconomics experiments, we record the subjects' brain activity by means of fMRI in the AMI Centre at Aalto University, Otaniemi.

The Center for Neuroeconomics Studies (CNS) develops neuroscience technologies to understand how people make decisions. The lab discovered that the hormone oxytocin connects us to other people and makes us work to help them. Oxytocin is also part of the brain circuit that causes us to be immersed in stories and experiences, to recall the information in them, and to be persuaded to take actions. Paul J. Zak.
