Thursday, September 26, 2013. Failed adoptions and re-homing: My two cents. Stories about the rehoming of adopted children have been all over the news lately. Almost all of them negative. They sensationalize adoptions horror stories about rehoming (which as usual the media gobbles up) and paint a picture with a broad brush that makes it sound like these few cases are what's typical for rehoming and even adoption. Demonizing adoption is not new to the media! Everyone keeps saying that what's being done is...

Our family: December 2011
http://familystuffandjunk.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 6, 2011. It has been a busy year! When hasn’t it been? Haha) We’ve been slowly improving our house and are really enjoying it. This year we took out half of our front lawn and expanded our flower and vegetable gardens. We’re thinking about taking out the rest of our front lawn next year. It is a small front yard and we don’t use it for anything, so why not make it useful? Next Spring we’re going to build a small pergola across the front of the house. It is going to look great! So she...

http://familystuffandjunk.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 22, 2013. Here we are, another end to a big year. The best part of our year was when we got to go to Germany this summer to visit where Anita grew up. We had so much fun and are anxious to return someday again. I made jam for the first time this year, that was fun. Most of my time is spent helping with homework, doing NR therapy with R and C, working with the school to get the appropriate help for my children (what a headache that can be sometimes! We are so proud of her! J has always be...

Motherhood. with issues. I started this blog to document the Neurodevelopmental Reorganization program we are following. Active Healing, Inc. for my two sons in the hopes of helping with their dyspraxia and adhd. When change happens slowly, it can be hard to notice. I hope this blog becomes an way for me to keep the big picture in sight and an outlet where I can talk about these things freely. Maybe it will help others, too. Thursday, October 28, 2010.
