Sunday, July 6, 2014. The Martin kids take DC. We headed to DC June 27 - July 1 for Technology Student Association Nationals, staying at the Gaylord Hotel in National Harbor. It's a giant 2000 room hotel and we enjoyed our few days there! Here are some photos from the weekend:. While Spencer was hard at it, Grant and I relaxed! Trying to find the lizard! We need to hone that oyster-eating technique just a bit. We ate well - here we shared a selection of appetizers and called it dinner.

Monday, July 8, 2013. A few more Deer Valley pics. William and Grant swam in a cold spring and here are the pics! I found them here - http:/ www.flickr.com/photos/clayton chris/sets/72157634417506416/. This car has SO many more "bells and whistles" than the old one. I wasn't looking for those, but I'm thinking some of them may be fun! It has an in-dash DVD player, satellite radio, a jack for my iPod (yay), and even a 115 V AC plug! We were a little sad to part with the old one. But not for very long!

Sunday, August 18, 2013. I just realized I never did a post about our trip to Portofino Island Resort! I mentioned it on the Cort the Sport blog, but did not include it here. The photos tell the story - Here's a link to the photo album on Facebook. We will definitely miss Goo. Recently we decided it was time to open our home to a new kitty, who we've named "Saki". She had been at the Humane Society for two months and although they say she is two, she seems smaller and younger. She's a good napper!

Thursday, March 28, 2013. Spencer represents BMS at Math Counts! Spencer's math team was featured in our local paper. He earned a spot at the competition through a preliminary math exam. While he competed as an individual, the team earned first place. Spencer is a math wiz. He's currently in Geometry as a 7th grader, having completed Algebra 1.
