These are things my journalism students often forget:. 1 Your paragraphs should be no longer than two to three sentences. 2 The attribution for your quotes should go after the first sentence of a multi-sentence quote. 3 Follow the QUOTE, SPEAKER, VERB format most of the time. 6 Write in the inverted-pyramid format. 7 Write with correct grammar.
