Tuesday, February 28, 2006. For several days now, we've been reporting on and looking into the probability of a modular home plant coming to Meridian. As we've told you before, it would employ about 300 people, and it now looks like those jobs would pay $12-14 an hour. Today, we're taking a closer look at just how big the economic impact of such a plant would be. It stretches far beyond just what the plant would bring. But here are some of the highlights. 44 more school children. 189 more workers employed.

Saturday, September 23, 2006. Saturday, September 23. Saturdays in the Fall are reserved for College Football.Sundays are for the NFL. But this weekend, I have virtually no football to watch. My Golden Eagles play Tuesday night and this is the bye week for the Chiefs. Tuesday night will be the first chance I've had to watch Southern Miss play this year. I will get to go to a couple of games, I'll be taking two Saturdays off next month. Now, for a little news:. Some other news I covered this morning.

Monday, March 27, 2006. Alabama Churches Receive Donations. A couple of churches over in West Alabama got a big boost in getting back to normal. As you probably know, seven weeks ago, two churches were burned to the ground (Galillee Baptist Church in Panola and Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Boligee) and two others were damaged. Wednesday, August 30, 2006. A Week's Worth of Posts in One. OK, so it's been a couple of days (or more like a week) since I've put anything up here. Let's do a little catching up since the last post.
