You talkin' to me? I don't see anyone else here." What would make me happy is any (helpful and edifying) comment that you’d like to make on the stuff I post. I can tell that this blog is going to consume me…. Sunday, November 25, 2007. No one is blind in heaven.". That's the quote of the evening, from Maxine McKew. Who at this point looks like she might take the federal seat of Bennelong. Electorate. Not a great deal of context was given as McKew. I've replaced the blog! 2 Some thoughts on singleness whi...

Monday, November 28, 2005. Lest you think that all I care about is stuff like plastic knick knacks, novelty cars and different coloured trees, I thought it was about time I introduce some more people to you! The Sanda school team. They are a really great bunch! But I've never worked somewhere with such a high turnover. I guess that doesn't usually bode well! Oh well. 3 of the people in the picture will be gone as of the end of this year and 2 have started since I have! Yes, that's a pumpkin on my head...

Last Spamurai: August 2006

Thursday, August 31, 2006. Not far from my place is an incredible toy museum. It specialises in tin toys, automata (animated toys) and German wooden toys - especially nutcrackers. It seems strange that Arima, a famous onsen town, would be home to these beautiful little objects. but seeing as I'm only a few kilometres away, I'm not complaining! This is an example of automata. They involve winding a handle to make a scene come to life - often with humorous results. This one isn't funny, just quirky...Did I...

Moments in my life. November 25, 2006. Farewell Questions & Picnic. At 6:55 pm by skijumper. Here are the questions Mike and I are being asked about our time with Hunter Bible Church and our move to Castlegar, BC. Highlights of being at HBC? What are we looking forward to in Castlegar? How do we think that having been at HBC will help spread God’s kingdom in Canada? We’re going to sit down tonight and work out our answers. 1 Comment ». November 25, 2006 at 10:43 pm. Moments in my life. November 21, 2006. A HOT Day in Newcastle NSW. At 7:38 pm by skijumper. Good thing I spent a couple of hours in the aircon in EMERGENCY! Can’t type well. Sliced middle finger RH on can in recycling bin. OUCH! No stitches. Tetanus shot. Pain. Irrigation and antiseptic. More PAIN! Many tears. Put a spanner in my packing efforts for the next few days. Thank heavens it wasn’t more serious – it was all a bit traumatic. Cloud and wind increasing. Source: Local Weather for ABC Newcastle NSW.

Monday, February 27, 2006. Hi again. It's already a month since my last post, which was filled with things from a month before that! I won't say "the flu" ever again unless I am dying from influenza. well, not in Japan anyway. I can't wait to show them around and see some other parts of Japan with them. Also, my friends that I holidayed with in Gifu - Tom, Jen and Ruby are moving to Tokyo in a month! Congratulations on your new job, Jen! Posted by Ian at 12:44 AM. 0 slices of devon. Sunday, June 11, 2006. In a week's time! Kazuya-san (Dad) keeps plying me with drinks, too - he's pretty fond of it. apparently I don't drink much. They are a really nice family. I had a funny weekend a week ago, hitting the town in Osaka on a Saturday night for the first time! I'm too lame/timid to confront people - I guess I should have said something, but I just gave a very unimpressed response as he cracked himself up next to me. Better to shoot at him from the safety of my blog, huh? You come to thi...
