Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Year In Review: 2014. On January 2nd of this year, I had this to say about my intentions for the coming days. Although I'm tempted to exactly outline the sparkly, new-wardrobed Cory who will be writing this same post in a year's time, I'm more inclined to leave it fuzzy:. 2014 will be a year of building both humility and confidence;. A year of being a student of many things;. A year of quiet and constant growth. I had a rough beginning of the year, health-wise. It's been a d...

TheKninja: Black Dress
http://thekninja.blogspot.com/2014/07/black-dress.html
Wildly wielding knitting needles and learning to sew in Seattle. Thursday, July 31, 2014. Once upon a time, about three years ago, my friend asked me if I'd like to take a sewing class with her. We sewed plain muslin squares for a month, enjoyed it enough, and signed up for another month of plain muslin squares. That was the beginning of this dress. This is my Black Dress, a major milestone in the curriculum at NYFA. You can see Casy's awesome Black Dress here. 1 DO NOT use a fabric with any stretch at a...

indie.knits: June 2014

Monday, June 30, 2014. This little vintage-inspired blouse was a lot speedier to knit than my last excursion into the genre. But no less adorable! A cute little cotton blouse just in time for summer. (Funny how quickly things go when you, uh, do them within a reasonable period of time.). I love the dramatic scooped neck and the pretty lace details. This blouse was knit from some deep, deep stash KFI King Tut cotton from my LYS back in Ohio, so I'm really happy that it's finally reached its full poten...
