The Bishop's Blog

Tuesday, January 8, 2013. I was listening to Pandora (as I do from time to time) and a song came on I hadn’t heard in years (like 12). “The Roses” by Caedmon’s Call. I was thinking about Haiti (as I do from time to time) and a certain person popped into my head. These two just happen to coincide. One of the most memorable events in our recent trip to Haiti was when Maximilian took us by his house. We had just hiked down the steep mountain to the well in Fond Baptiste, and back up. If I remember correctly...

Monday, December 10, 2012. 2012 Bishop Family Christmas Tree. Here it is, folks! Our second annual Christmas Tree video. We knocked it up a notch this year and made sure Bowden was extra cute! Saturday, December 31, 2011. Okay, I want you to close your eyes, and imagine that this is December 25th. Because I promise I had every intention of posting this on that day :). but you know how it goes, this wonderful life sometimes gets in the way. And I'm so very happy it does. From our family to yours! Wishing you joy, hope and love on this toasty, Christmas morning! And while we're at it, Happy New Year! Heather, Nicholas and Bowden. My bestie had her baby! The Bishop's Blog: Mom's Birthday Weekend

http://www.nicandheather.blogspot.com/2012/04/moms-birthday-weekend.html

Tuesday, April 24, 2012. My Mom had one surprise after another this year for her birthday, and she definitely deserved it. First, some of the ladies in the church put together a Birthday brunch at The Egg Cafe. Mary An did such a good job with the decorations and games. It was super cute with a tea room theme, the food was great, and the company was better- it's always nice to have a girl's day. Mary An made the cake herself. I was pretty impressed. Some of the girls. It was a busy weekend that went by w...

The Bishop's Blog: 2 years...

http://www.nicandheather.blogspot.com/2012/03/2-years.html

Tuesday, March 27, 2012. It's been two years. Wow, they have flown by. I remember our first dance like it was yesterday. I was awkwardly trying to shuffle my feet, but you held me tight and didn't let me miss a beat. :) I love you more and more every day. Looking forward to dancing (or trying to dance) with you for years and years to come. Happy Anniversary, Nicholas! There is no combination of words I could put on the back of a postcard. No song that I could sing, but I can try for your heart. It's alwa...

Pink Shutterbug Photography: July 2012

http://pinkshutterbugphotography.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html

Capturing Snippets of Life. Monday, July 30, 2012. Harris Family Spring Pictures. I think I woke up in the middle of the night sometime last week and realized that I had forgotten to blog these pictures. I guess the fact that I also almost missed my daughter's swimming lesson last week because I couldn't find my cell phone OR wallet should not be much of a surprise. I took Will's newborn pictures. So we finally got together at Dorothy B. Oven for a marathon of family pictures. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Pink Shutterbug Photography: Pumpkin Patch 2011

http://pinkshutterbugphotography.blogspot.com/2011/12/pumpkin-patch-2011.html

Capturing Snippets of Life. Thursday, December 1, 2011. I'm in a group of stay-at-home mommies, and this year we decided to make one of our meetings at the local pumpkin patch. I figured that, since we would be there anyway, we might as well make it a photo shoot day! The mommies graciously agreed, so we had a fall picture party of sorts! Thanks, ladies, for letting me capture pics of your little ones! December 2, 2011 at 11:12 AM. Those came out so good! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Pink Shutterbug Photography: October 2011

http://pinkshutterbugphotography.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html

Capturing Snippets of Life. Sunday, October 16, 2011. My beautiful friend Jackie graduated from FSU with a PhD in August, and I could not think of a better way to honor her and her accomplishments than to do a photo shoot for her and her husband before they moved away to their new jobs. Thankfully, she agreed, so Jackie and Eric took me to FSU to do some on location pictures. Sorry, I couldn't resist putting a new twist on my classic wedding bouquet pose! We are so proud of everything you've accomplished!

http://pinkshutterbugphotography.blogspot.com/2012/11/pumpkin-patch-2012.html

Capturing Snippets of Life. Sunday, November 25, 2012. I had these pictures uploaded and ready to be posted ON HALLOWEEN, I kid you not! But then I got consumed with editing photos from my church's Halloween photo booth, and then I got consumed with editing something else and.you get the picture! It's time for me to blog one of my favorite shoots of the year! This is the second year that my moms' group has met at a local pumpkin patch so that I can take shots of all the babies and the pumpkins!

Pink Shutterbug Photography: May 2012

http://pinkshutterbugphotography.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html

Capturing Snippets of Life. Tuesday, May 15, 2012. Rikki and Michael - March 10th Wedding. One of my favorite parts of photography is building relationships with families I otherwise would never get to meet! I have not done a lot of weddings lately, but when I was contacted by the sister of one of my previous brides to see if I could shoot her wedding, I was thrilled to have the opportunity! Got married at my favorite photography spot: the St. Marks River! About fishing. ;-). Labels: portraits; family.

Pink Shutterbug Photography: November 2011

http://pinkshutterbugphotography.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html

Capturing Snippets of Life. Thursday, November 3, 2011. Time has gotten away from me, and I realized I never did post Kabeer's newborn pictures! As I mentioned in a previous maternity post. My friends Rahul and Mitu had a sweet baby boy, Kabeer, in July. I had the opportunity to shoot his "newborn" pictures when he was about 4 weeks old at his home. This was a very special shoot because it was so reminiscent of my very first newborn shoot. She said, "We should kiss now.". My favorite of the siblings!

http://pinkshutterbugphotography.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html

Capturing Snippets of Life. Sunday, March 11, 2012. Rikki and Michael Engagement Pictures! You know that feeling you get when you shoot a wedding and realize that. You haven't even posted their engagement pictures on your photography blog? OK, so maybe you don't, but it's a lot like the feeling of having a party that you never got around to sending the invitations for. Which I may have also done in the past month. SO, Rikki and Michael got married yesterday and had a beautiful wedding, but I need to.

http://pinkshutterbugphotography.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html

Capturing Snippets of Life. Wednesday, February 22, 2012. This shoot is special because, not only was this my first time officially working with this beautiful family after seeing them at several parties, but it was also my first gift certificate shoot! One of my clients gave this shoot to Ravi and his wife as a gift for their 10th Anniversary. I can't think of a better gift for someone than memories! Details on the gift certificate packages I have available are on my website. Sunday, February 19, 2012.

Capturing Snippets of Life. Thursday, December 29, 2011. Nichole and Davey Maternity! A few weeks ago, I took a break from shooting Christmas card pictures to shoot some maternity pictures for Nichole and Davey! I first met them when I shot their wedding. And they are the first family to use me for both a wedding and a maternity shoot, so needless to say, I was a little excited! Congratulations to Davey, Nichole, and Gabe.I can't wait to meet your new arrival! Thursday, December 8, 2011.

Pink Shutterbug Photography: January 2013

http://pinkshutterbugphotography.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html

Capturing Snippets of Life. Monday, January 14, 2013. Tyler approached me about doing a shoot with her boyfriend, and I was so excited! I haven't gotten to do a lot of romantic shoots lately, so this was a lot of fun. We met at Dorothy B. Oven and had some wonderful, almost sunset light. These kids were really natural in front of the camera, too! Thanks, guys, for the shoot! It was a lot of fun! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Month by Month Collage. Spiritual Reflections from the Third World

Spiritual Reflections from the Third World. Thursday, August 25, 2011. The dictionary definition is, "to live or stay as a permanent resident". What better place to reside than in the God's shelter, and thereby rest in His shadow. In this place of shelter and rest I find my peace. Though the world around me is in turmoil I can have peace when I am in His shelter. Monday, May 2, 2011. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." 2 Peter 3:9b. Osama bin Laden w...

Random drivel from nic and graham downunder. April 9, 2012 10:14 pm. Well I thought it was about time I started to make proper use of the garage – AKA ‘Man Cave’. It’s a nice big garage in which I park my motorbike, keep the diving gear and the lawn mower. Oh and Nic’s for a fridge or 3 for curing meat and cheese. But apart from that – lots of space to do…. ‘stuff’. Beautiful don’t you think? Here’s the bike now…. Early morning trip to Bondi. Comments Off on Early morning trip to Bondi. However, it seems...

The Barnes

Wednesday, September 25, 2013. The Mommy Woes of the Day. It seems time has gone a lot fast than I ever thought it could! Blogging seems to be the last thing on my mind, until I have something to talk about. Even then I think, well do I have time to write about it? Today, I do. Really I should be working on statistics homework, my practicum homework, or especially working on my homework for my class that's in a couple hours. But here I am, writing my thoughts as they come! This is Nic, Holly's husband. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has asked me as a member to write against gay marriage. So I will.(just don't tell Holly that I'm at school doing this while I should be studying the wonders of the brain). Certainly he has an opinion. He is not lukewarm on the issue I assure you. A servent said to him that if the Prophet had asked him to do "some great thing" wouldn't he have done it? Oh, and Happy, Happy May. Posted by Holly Anderson. Just bought it. Can'...
