For Voet's Sake!: March 2010
http://forvoetssake.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Making the constitution common (law). Wednesday, March 24, 2010. Bloggers for press freedom. Posted by David Watson. I don't know whether everyone who blogs on this blog will support the below statement but I know I do and I am relatively certain that it reflects the view of everyone. Bloggers For a Free Press. We also note the breathtaking hubris displayed by Shivambu and the ANC Youth League President Julius Malema in their response to the letter of complaint. Shivambu and Malema clearly have no re...

View from a wheelchair: SpeakZA

View from a wheelchair. This is a space for my own, personal musings. Possibly I shall, at a later date, connect this to my companys website (http:/ www.disabilitysolutions.co.za) and official blog(http:/ disabilitysolutions@blogspot.com). But for now, it remains my own private observations, distinct from Disability Solutions. Wednesday, 24 March 2010. Safeguard by exposing the actions of individuals who have abused their positions of power for personal and political gain. We urge the ANC as a whole to r...

I'm not confused, I'm just well-mixed. Chaos in a place of sanctuary. July 25, 2011 – 11:08 am. I wrote this a few years ago and republish it every year. Lest we forget. Today, 25 July, is 18 years since the St. James Massacre. 1993 was a dark and difficult time for South Africa. Bombs, attacks, APLA and the third force all trying their best to derail negotiations. Our transition was a miracle and relatively peaceful, but many innocent people still died violently. Sure, the APLA cadres apologised, ration...

On The Road: What used to be my playground
http://wawwin.blogspot.com/2010/01/what-used-to-be-my-playground.html
And in my head. Wednesday, January 20, 2010. What used to be my playground. 76 days to go. I went for something of an unintentionally symbolic run on Sunday. Starting in Rondebosch East I headed over the M5 bridge, right into Milner all the way to the common, circled it (again) before heading down Campground until Lansdowne Rd which took me back over the highway and full circuit to my starting point. A total distance of 11.8 km. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

On The Road: Small thoughts on 'Happy-Go-Lucky'
http://wawwin.blogspot.com/2009/02/small-thoughts-on-happy-go-lucky.html
And in my head. Wednesday, February 18, 2009. Small thoughts on 'Happy-Go-Lucky'. So I had the distinct pleasure of watching 'Happy-Go-Lucky' yesterday and all I can say is. Sally Hawkins was robbed! Do we ignore it? Can we even understand it anymore? Eddie Marsan deserves a special mention for his turn as Poppy's racist, misogynistic, paranoid and altogether sociopathic driving instructor – a well-crafted foil to the exuberant Poppy, superbly executed by the actor. Now I have to watch the movie!
