Wednesday, 19 January 2011. Black swans, old friends and vintage weddings. What is it about this time of the year that inspires a fresh burst of creativity, a yearning for change and a renewed sense of courage to try the things you have been putting off for ages? All signs of Christmas have been cleared away (a huge relief after what is a long season for shops) and a new open and fresh theme for the new year prevails. Pretty florals, fun objects and cheerful colours abound. Tin plate cars and vintage toys.

Sunday, 5 February 2012. Just a quick hello, and to say Happy New Year to everyone! No, we haven't left the building. We have had a fantastic Christmas and New Year visiting our family in South Africa and celebrating a certain big birthday. Now that we are back in old Blighty, life has resumed as normal and we had a great spring clean in the shop after having sold a couple of key pieces of furniture. Roses to remember my Granny, who sadly passed away last month after a wonderful 93 years. RIP Granny.

Sunday, 9 June 2013. My purple patch or old bag blues . It did not prevent me from car booting, although my darkest sun glasses stayed firmly on (the very swollen) bridge of my nose. Yesterday I did a fair in Marlow and it was not good: one of those not good fairs where it costs more to sit there for the day than it makes and everything you sell would fit into the large Cath Kidston mug you brought with you for your coffee but didn't use because you left the thermos flask sitting on the kitchen surface. It makes a lovely change not to have to get up in the dark, drive for miles to get to a venue, then walk a considerable distance to unpack the car. This fair is an 8 minute drive, I can park right outside to unload and it starts at 11 o'clock - how civilised! I'm going pale for this fair - lots of cream, fawn and beige . Links to this post. Tuesday, June 23, 2015. We ate at McDonalds afterwards and then headed to Bass Pro. The kids love going and sitting on all the boats and four wheelers.
