About – From the left corner of my brain
https://leftcornerofmybrain.wordpress.com/about
From the left corner of my brain. We are in the middle of adopting out daughter from my husband’s Native American tribe. It has been an interesting process full of ups and downs. Our daughter arrived in June 2010. We are settling into life as a family of three pretty well so far. Little M makes life 1000x more interesting than before. The idea of learning something new sparks my interest every time. I tend to over think things. Photos used are from stockpert or google images *. March 5, 2008 / 2:21 pm.

On becoming a Mother – From the left corner of my brain

From the left corner of my brain. On becoming a Mother. January 28, 2010. January 21, 2015. Getting ready to become a parent through adoption has been an interesting experience. What is wrong with me? On those days, I find myself thinking, “Perhaps it would just be easier to get pregnant. Then we would know when the baby would be here. We could find out if it would be a boy or a girl, we could pick a name, we could have more control of the situation.”. It is through science that my faith is strengthened.

From the left corner of my brain. A book worth reading. April 12, 2009. April 12, 2009. Have you read this book? Trust me, you. To read this book. Portions of the book felt like I was reading my own story. Many times as I was reading I thought to myself, “That is exactly what I said” or, “That is exactly how I felt/feel.”. In case you are interested in reading it, you can find it here. Ohh, so THIS is nesting. It’s not about blame. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Nick & Nay.

It’s not about blame – From the left corner of my brain

From the left corner of my brain. It’s not about blame. May 6, 2009. May 6, 2009. Facts that are more comfortable to overlook:. In the 1800’s, American Indian Religion was outlawed. American Indian’s spiritual practices went underground as did much of the culture and traditions. The Indian Religion Freedom Act passed in 1978 (Um, that was 31 years ago. Not that long ago. This also means American Indians were the last ethnic people group to have their civil rights acknowledged). People ask why were are ad...

From the left corner of my brain. Ohh, so THIS is nesting. March 28, 2009. March 29, 2009. Did I mention that we are approved? Now we just wait for a phone call to tell us to come and pick up Baby F. The phone call might come next week, or it could be as long as a year away. I daydream about that phone call. Most days I think we will have a boy. How fun would that be! Dinosaurs, airplanes, trucks, sports and pirates…I love it! But then, oh then, I see this:. Adoption is so fun! We are so exited for her!

Between The Sheets: The Bloodhounds Are Out to Get Ya!
http://karasheets.blogspot.com/2012/04/bloodhounds-are-out-to-get-ya.html
Sunday, April 08, 2012. The Bloodhounds Are Out to Get Ya! The boys first ever soccer season started on Saturday. To say that they were excited would be a major understatement. They have been counting down the sleeps for a couple of weeks, and I think their faces will show you how pumped they were to finally be playing 'professional soccer' (as Levi calls it). Their team name is the Bloodhounds, and I think you should be prepared for some cuteness overload. A little half-time practice from Levi. I love 4...

Monday, April 09, 2012. We had a beautiful Easter weekend just hanging out at home and being with family and friends. The bluebonnets are in full bloom (which most of you non-Texans don't realize the full magnitude of bluebonnet pictures.but I love them! And we got some great family pics thanks to Zach's talented sister, Gini! After pictures, we did a glow in the dark egg hunt. (Thanks Pinterest! We just put glow bracelets into plastic eggs and let the kids search for them after dark. So much fun! Stop b...
