Sunday, May 17, 2015. A Gallery Filled Weekend. Two beautiful days in the Texas Hill Country. The country sides is green with this years abundance of rain. On these little back roads, I am close enough to see purple thistles blooming along the roadsides, wild turkeys out in the cool morning with their tail feathers fanned out on display and water filled creek beds that had been dry for years. Friday, June 13, 2014. Hope 1993 a work in progress. Once sewn I cut out the inner part of the pattern and removed the remaining pieces of paper. With the fabric complete, I mounted the relief sculpture to mirrored glass, apllied the fabric over the casting and framed the entire piece so it would hang from the wall. Saturday, July 26, 2014. Untamed - Glass Exhinition. A juried glass exhibition. Sponsored by the San Antonio Glass Art Guild. August 15 - September 20, 2014. At the Bulverde Area Art Center. In downtown Bulverde, Texas. August 15 from 6-8pm. It wasn't till 2011 that I finally did something with that ball of wool. And not till this year that the experience has finally come full circle in these glass and wool pieces. I look forward to making more and seeing how they evolve as yet even more time passes.

Saturday, June 4, 2011. Love Lost. Love Remains. To be quite honest, I am still in a surreal state where reality has not yet surfaced. It was less than a week before Jett left us that I had accidentally taught him a bad word, we read Mother Goose Nursery Rhymes before bed, we beat Ryson and Aspen at tramp-basketball (he scored the last 4 points! Listen to the moaning and sobbing of a mother and father who lost their youngest son. I was heart broken. When will I stop thinking of him a dozen times a day?
