Validation Criteria
http://www.diacomp.org/shared/validationCriteria.aspx
The DCC Steering Committee developed a baseline phenotyping protocol to be carried out on all mouse models of diabetic complications. The phenotyping is done over a 25 week time frame were samples are taken at 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24 and 25 weeks of age. The DCC Cardiovascular committee developed a series of critieria to evaluate the mouse models as they relate to Diabetic Cardiovascular disease. This criteria defines what measurements must be taken in order to assess this phenotype.
