Devops and other things. Unicode files on OpenBSD’s LS. I made this patch a few months ago, so I figured I’d make it my first post. Producer of BSDnow.tv. Is an otaku, and has a lot of files on his openbsd machine using Hiragana/Katakana/Kanji filenames. Normally, in order to see them, he would have to install colorls from ports. Non-printable characters in UTF-8. So I created the following quick and dirty patch to ls to disable the non-printable stripping. Lscorig 2013-05-30 12:34:32.000000000 -0400.
