This painting thing is NOT a 9 to 5 job; it’s much harder. I had a “style” when I was very ill, dictated by the amount of time I could sit up, and by a roller-coaster of emotions that flowed out onto the page. But I can show them to you:-). It All Started with Swine Flu! It All Started with Swine Flu! There I was happily making wire sculptures in March, when I contracted swine flu from my darling nieces. I couldn’t do anything that required manual or mental dexterity. I had bought some beading kits for those darlings, and I decided to use them to keep the hands occupied, even if the mind was mud. And I LIKED it! It was very relaxing, and very addictive:-) I’m still painting, etc., but have been working towards this. July 26, 2010 at 10:44 am.

My kayaking in Puget Sound was in the midst of speed boats and jet skis in mid-afternoon. There was no one around when I paddled out today. Just the way I like it. Because you never know what you might find-. I started painting when I was in high school but I never took it seriously. I’m not sure if I do even now, but I do know that it provides such relaxation, such revitalization, that I can’t imagine stopping. It started with a painting for a friend, and now I’m moving from person to person creating paintings that I think my friends and families will enjoy. A Peacock Horse for my friend Cassie.
