We brought a bunch of food and they cooked a huge meal for the entire community plus all of the workers (over 1000 people). Keep in mind there's only an outdoor kitchen which consists of a tent where the ladies hold vegetables in their laps to peel and cut and cook everything over an open fire. Sunday, April 5, 2009. Home sweet home. We arrived back in Seattle at about 11:45am PST - meaning about 9:45pm African time. We are all safe and all grateful to be home. I don't know if I can say Africa changed me. But I have been changed. My eyes have been opened wider, my mind grown larger, my heart deeper.
