The Fort Wayne Children's Zoo was adopted as a member of the NISBC in 2010 and most recently received certification at the Two Star Level for being a Bright Green Business. So, what makes them Bright Green? Here are some items:. Print Zoo maps using soy ink. Use sky lights for hyena housing building. Serve as a drop off point for recycling small electronics.

NISBC Transforms Green City Business Program. In October of 2010, City of Fort Wayne’s Mayor Tom Henry along with several area businesses announced the newly formed Northeast Indiana Sustainable Business Council (NISBC). The NISBC is taking the Green City Business program into a new phase, one that will reach across Northeast Indiana, and beyond. The now regional program is called Bright Green Business.
