Little Monkey and Friends ... in Bermuda!: Back to school - 2014/15
http://njmonkey.blogspot.com/2014/09/back-to-school-201415.html
The life and times of an American ex-pat family in Bermuda. Tuesday, September 02, 2014. Back to school - 2014/15. How can September properly begin without the annual back to school pic? P4 and P5 respectively, ie 3rd and 4th graders heading off to Saltus. Excuse me for a minute while I admire the blinding whiteness of those polo shirts and white knee socks. It goes without saying that they will not look like this by the end of the month. Tuesday, September 02, 2014. Labels: Bermuda year 4.
Little Monkey and Friends ... in Bermuda!: Baby 3 update
http://njmonkey.blogspot.com/2014/09/baby-3-update.html
The life and times of an American ex-pat family in Bermuda. Tuesday, September 02, 2014. I've now hit the 40 week mark. Of being pregnant. Yes, I am grateful don't get me wrong. I know there are some who would do anything to be in my shoes. I hope everyone who wants to be pregnant gets that chance at least once in her lifetime. But for those of you who have been here, you. Can we commiserate for just a minute? It's not just me. No, these aren't the famous Georgetown steps from. On the way there, I had to...
Little Monkey and Friends ... in Bermuda!: Food rut
http://njmonkey.blogspot.com/2013/07/food-rut.html
The life and times of an American ex-pat family in Bermuda. Monday, July 29, 2013. I love summer, but I can't stand cooking in this heat. It makes me feel fat. As we speak, I've managed to finish making beef spare ribs in the crockpot. No oven. and some brownies for the kids for camp tomorrow. Yay! The thought of making a side dish is already exhausting me. Raw carrots, anyone? Ugh can't we just have fruit for dinner? I mean grapes, that is? Forget it. I mean wine. let's just have wine for dinner.
Little Monkey and Friends ... in Bermuda!: Star of the Week.
http://njmonkey.blogspot.com/2008/12/star-of-week.html
The life and times of an American ex-pat family in Bermuda. Sunday, December 21, 2008. Star of the Week. My son's preschool has a weekly tradition of naming one student "Star of the Week." During that time, the student's pictures are put up on special cork board and family are invited in to read a story, talk about the student, and share a treat. Last week was Jordan's turn, and I was faced with own dilemma. What can I make for 25 pre-schoolers? Fruit, I decided, was the answer. And I totally get it when...
Little Monkey and Friends ... in Bermuda!: Ten
http://njmonkey.blogspot.com/2014/11/ten.html
The life and times of an American ex-pat family in Bermuda. Wednesday, November 05, 2014. Ten years ago, a little girl was born. She was named Breanna. I think of her all the time because my son has her heart. As I think about how much my son has changed and grown in ten years, I can't help but wonder what Breanna would have been like. Would she be a fashionista, like my Mina? Would she have insisted on dressing herself and brushing her own hair? Would she have sung along to Taylor Swift or Katy Perry?

First I had a Halloween parade and party at my school on Thursday afternoon. (They knew we'd all be outta there early on Friday to get our Treat On! I was happy to have Mom and Dad there to watch the parade. And so that they could see me hanging with all of my princess girlfriends! Posted by Ben and Jake. At Sunday, November 02, 2008. Sugar on the Asphalt: October 2005
http://sugarontheasphalt.blogspot.com/2005_10_01_archive.html
Sugar on the Asphalt. Saturday, October 15, 2005. The clouds have parted ways. For now, at least. What has it been? 8-9 days fo rain? Finally, the sun shown through today. Luckily, we didn't have any flooding in our area but I have heard of many people having flooded basements. At work, the building seems to be falling apart because there are garbage pails strategically placed to catch the leaks from the ceiling. Some say it was some sort of plague upon the city. Who knows nowadays? Links to this post.

Sugar on the Asphalt. Wednesday, October 21, 2009. What I wish you knew. What I wish you knew about pregnancy loss:. A letter from women to their friends and family. By Elizabeth Soutter Schwarzer. Don't say, "It's God's Will.". Even if we are members of the same congregation, unless you are a cleric and I am seeking your spiritual counseling, please don't presume to tell me what God wants for me. Besides, many terrible things are God's Will, that doesn't make them less terrible. It's not something I enj...

http://sugarontheasphalt.blogspot.com/2005_08_01_archive.html
Sugar on the Asphalt. Tuesday, August 16, 2005. Well, today marks the 58 th anniversary of India's independence from the British Empire.I have not been to India in 15 years, so I honestly can not comment on the changes that have occurred within those years. I know the quality of life has surely improved and India is in a much better position than the US was after independence. India is still very much a young country. Links to this post. Thursday, August 11, 2005. Happy, happy, joy, joy!
