Stretched across my living room couch, finding myself once again in transition, I anxiously await my next move. A combination of excitement and fear is constantly racing through my body. I find myself wondering will I like it there? Will they like me there? I've been abroad before, but never for three months and never alone. I have only three short weeks and I can't wait for them to race by!

Goodbye Clemson, Bonjour St. Louis. Documenting my Semester in Senegal. Sunday, September 13, 2009. I arrived in Senegal during the month of Ramadan. Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar and is characterized by fasting from dawn until dusk. Islamic months are determined by the lunar cycles, meaning the month begins the day after the new moon and will end after the moon has made one full cycle. This year it the month will end on the 20. But on the third day, I saw a beautiful Croque Madame.
