Seboyeta then came under dominion of the Mexican government, and finally, after the Mexican-American War, on January 27, 1882, a patent was issued to the inhabitants of the town by the United States government. Source: New Mexico Office of the State Historian. The building ruins are near the local cemetery. I am unsure if they are the old mission or something else. Many of the headstones are long eroded sandstone slabs. The other pictures are the surrounding landscape.
