Tubing The River Styx: Final Paper
http://maxarcand.blogspot.com/2010/04/final-paper_28.html
Tubing The River Styx. Wednesday, April 28, 2010. Let The Wild Rumpus Start! One Man’s Journey Through Lit 436. January 11, 2010, 11:00 am. Another reason for my dazed and halfhearted energy for the class was simply that when I had registered for class, I thought I had registered for Emerging. Literature instead of Emergent. Would I be able to keep up with the blogs? What the hell is a blog anyway? This paper will be an examination of my journey as a student of literature from that tense first day of cla...

Emergent Literature: March 2010
http://bizzemergentlit.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 30, 2010. Confessions and Thoughts on the Following Story. Something I found really interesting about the book was the continued references to time. It was really Four Quartetesqe. "Can you keep track of my tenses? And just as your mother was there at your beginning, I shall be there at your end. And when you die - and die you shall - your transition will be to the sound of.[claps his hands]". At my beginning, is my end. . . just some thoughts to ponder. Monday, March 29, 2010. Derrida had...

Emergent Literature: Page 191
http://bizzemergentlit.blogspot.com/2010/04/page-191.html
Saturday, April 10, 2010. Reading this page, I had a great sense of Catholic churchyness. At the beginning, he seems to be talking about a Catholic homily, which he doesn't seem to like very much, because he calls the priest an "unfrillfrocked quackfriar." The tone is mocking and disrespectful- he calls him a monkey- "Afferyank! Maybe the guy encountered a bully or two. He's the nerd getting smacked and crammed into a locker. Or perhaps not? Emergent Literature: Presentation recap
http://bizzemergentlit.blogspot.com/2010/04/presentation-recap.html
Tuesday, April 20, 2010. Alright- in general, I enjoyed all of the presentations- there were all just fun. Kudos go out to Twenty Minute Lifetime- that movie was hilarious and trippy. Even now, I can't get the image of the pregnant man out of my head. I thought the tea thing was really cool, in the symbolism and the filmography. Kudos again Tom! The final group I saw- Eternal Return- did such a beautiful job with their script- way to be! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Zach of the Saving Bells Lit 436.

Emergent Literature: Last blog ever
http://bizzemergentlit.blogspot.com/2010/04/last-blog-ever.html
Tuesday, April 27, 2010. But maybe a class like this, where we can read and discuss online and in class, expands how much we can hold, so we're not bipolarized into low and high brow. We can flow between the two and make connections. Networking at its best. Thank you all for your reflections. Now I'm done. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Zach of the Saving Bells Lit 436. Tubing The River Styx: Floyd and Beckett
http://maxarcand.blogspot.com/2010/04/floyd-and-beckett.html
Tubing The River Styx. Tuesday, April 27, 2010. This song reminded me of Samuel Beckett's 3 Novels when he discribes his bike:. I've got a bike. You can ride it if you like. It's got a basket. A bell that rings. And things to make it look good. I'd give it to you if i could. But i borrowed it. You're the kind of girl that fits in with my world. I'll give you anything. Everything if you want thing". Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Rio Gonzalez wants you to check out CampusLIVE.com. In Reflection of Jon.

Tubing The River Styx: The eternal reminder of the eternal list
http://maxarcand.blogspot.com/2010/04/eternal-reminder-of-eternal-list.html
Tubing The River Styx. Tuesday, April 27, 2010. The eternal reminder of the eternal list. James Joyce, Finnegans Wake:. Hunter S. Thompson, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas:. I think that last line by Thompson sums up Joyce's lists. "Not that we needed all that, but once you get locked into a serious collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can" (paraphrased). Joyce continues to push the envelope of what is decent, what is expected, and what is, dare i say, "normal"? In Reflection of Jon.
