Saturday, August 11, 2012. A Letter to My Brother. So many thoughts and emotions have crossed my mind and heart over the past 2 weeks. It started with shock. Surely that couldn’t be true. That 5am phone call. It couldn’t be MY brother they were talking about. My baby brother who was so full of life and laughter and energy. Who lit up a room the second he walked in. It couldn’t be him. Then almost immediately I was mad. At you. So very mad. How could you do this to us? I was just starting my new career!

Off to Serve Him: March 2013
http://offtoservehim.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Off to Serve Him. Thursday, March 14, 2013. Although the city we live in has a great Children's medical facility we found it too hard to navigate for a boy that has lots of physical issues. We started at the adoption clinic, then were sent to pediatric rehab, then to ortho for spine, ortho for arms, ortho for legs, then to the missing limbs clinic. (Umm why didn't we just get to start there? Finally we gave up and headed to Shriner's in Lexington. Yesterday we went for a fitting. It is still hard! Last n...

Living for the Lord in 2011: January 2011
http://livingforthelord2011.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Living for the Lord in 2011. The journey of my Catholic soul as I seek to listen to and live for my Lord Jesus (rather than myself). Sunday, January 30, 2011. Why does my little girl have the privilege of falling asleep nuzzling my breast on a warm comfy couch every night. While another little boy has known only a rubber binky and a cold crib? Why can I not stop thinking about the injustice? At Adoration tonight I begged my Guardian Angel to go to that sweet boy and snuggle him close and keep him warm.

hopeful: THE Nic Pritchard (Daddy)
http://honest-hope.blogspot.com/2012/08/the-nic-pritchard-daddy.html
Saturday, August 4, 2012. THE Nic Pritchard (Daddy). This is what my Daddy shared today. Love his willingness to be honest and vulnerable. Nic, This is for you, my son. I love you! To know Nic, was to love Nic. Mischievous, smart, loving, honest, funny, athletic. And don’t forget stubborn, determined, and hard-headed. Nic was a bright shining light. That is how I will remember my son. Questions with no answers. Not only does he have great friends, but he picked friends with great parents. We have bee...

http://honest-hope.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 14, 2012. Hope, hearts, and haunting eyes. On this Valentine's day, I'm reminded that pieces of my heart lay in cribs halfway across the world. There are 3 babies in particular that I do not think will ever leave my mind. I don't remember their names, but oh do I remember their faces. The first was a little guy with a head full of hair. The second was a blonde baby with piercing blue eyes. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Hope, hearts, and haunting eyes. Our Road to Adoption. Hope for Every ...

Off to Serve Him: February 2013
http://offtoservehim.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Off to Serve Him. Tuesday, February 5, 2013. I was amazed last night with the progress we are making. I can't wait to show them what we will have accomplished. Ok so I am a horrible blogger - the above was written in December. We did great at stretching. The Shriner's staff were amazed when we went back three weeks ago. They casted him for prosthetics. We should have a trial pair of legs ready in a couple more weeks. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Last night officially ended the pie challenge ( however I am...

hopeful: July 2011
http://honest-hope.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 24, 2011. European Adventures - Installment One: Atlanta and Brussels. It's nearing the end of July, which means that we have been back from Europe fr almost two months. I've debated for nearly two months what I wanted to write in a blog post about the trip. It's a beautiful (albeit HOT) Sunday afternoon, and this is my attempt at being open and honest and REAL about the trip. ALL 18 of us got on that flight. Directly to Paris! We didn't even have to have a layover! Our luggage did not.

http://offtoservehim.blogspot.com/2015/03/wednesday.html
Off to Serve Him. Wednesday, March 4, 2015. Wow another great day. We started off delivering supplies to Dr. Tatiana. She was absolutely thrilled to receive the over $600 worth of test strips we delivered from AP. We went grocery shopping at the bazaar for the food supplies for the food drops. We bought carrots, onions potatoes and cabbage in BULK. Definitely loving Mason's strength today! Then we headed out to deliver them. First stop was the homeless shelter. Yes that is a table filled with bread!

Off to Serve Him: Sunday Afternoon
http://offtoservehim.blogspot.com/2015/03/sunday-afternoon.html
Off to Serve Him. Sunday, March 1, 2015. Then we continued up the mountain. At one point it was a popular winter destination. Today it is a deserted remote location with giant concrete buildings that are crumbling. One wall of a large four story building was at about a 45 degree tipping point. After distributing the gifts we headed down the mountain to the church for tea and snacks. While there we held a powerful healing prayer service. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
