Do you know this birdie? June 30, 2016. 8220;I found a greater crested tern on our beach – it is ringed with a metal ring on the left leg and yellow plastic ring on the right leg. I haven’t managed to catch it so I don’t know the ringnumber, but I was wondering whether anyone of our fellow Seychelles’ birders remembers ringing a greater crested tern? Sixth annual frigatebird survey completed on Aldabra. May 13, 2016. February saw the completion of the sixth annual frigatebird survey at Aldabra Atoll in the SW Indian Ocean. To estimate the breeding colony size of the two species of frigatebird at Aldabra, the team divided each of the four colonies into smaller sub-colonies, to limit overlap and possible double counting.
