Our tutor is Jim, who had taken some of our classes last year, so it all feels very comfortable. You can't teach an old dog new tricks. I'm at the Shetland Fiddle Frenzy finding out. Monday, 2 August 2010. This year's Fiddle Frenzy runs from 8th - 15th August. You can download the full programme here. I'm passing up on the creative writing, the painting and drawing, the guitar accompaniment, and (somewhat regretfully I have to admit) the knitting. If this year's choice doesn't work out, perhaps I'll take that latter option in 2011. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Send me an email.

You can't teach an old dog new tricks. I'm at the Shetland Fiddle Frenzy finding out. Monday, 9 August 2010. Day 2 - the before and the after. Another enjoyable day, although it felt more like hard work. I think my expectations were just a tad too high after yesterday. I'm pleased to say that I wasn't alone when I reached saturation point with the two tunes we learnt today. Anyway, here's the before:. Now I'm off to the Garrison Theatre for tonight's concert.
