Sábado, 15 de agosto de 2009. Last session we read and tried to understand the poem. The Little black boy. Songs of Innocence (1789). By William Blake (1757-1827). As many of you very well pointed out, the poem is full of biblical references, which were very prominent in Blake´s poetry. After reading the poem, which of the keystones in Blake´s poetry do you think are present in "The Little Black boy"? Post it on your blog in about 150 words, deadline Sunday 16. Lunes, 30 de noviembre de 2009. In this essay I would discuss how Literature exposes relevant topics that should be discussed in EFL classes. Therefore, in order to illustrate my arguments with examples, I will cite some quotations from different poems. Mention some important topics that can be found in Enlglish Literature and give examples by using some quotes. Analyse and discuss those topics. By way of conlcusion I must say that…. Literature =P: The rocking- horse winner by D. H Lawrence
http://littlemeerkat.blogspot.com/2009/11/rocking-horse-winner-by-d-h-lawrence.html
Domingo, 8 de noviembre de 2009. The rocking- horse winner by D. H Lawrence. Mother and children relationship is a key issue in the Rocking- horse winner because D.H Lawrence combined his real experience with fiction. On the other hand,. To conclude his life had a lot in common with the rocking- horse winner. Probably he wanted to express what he lived through a story. From my point of view, you did a very god job comparing the unhappy woman found in the Rocking-horse winner, with Lawrences mother and he...

Literature =P: abril 2009

Miércoles, 29 de abril de 2009. What do women desire? We want to be understood, loved and safe but at the same time we want to be free, independent and have fun. Probably all those desires are in our genes. Allison had the same needs just like contemporary women have. We want to be independent but we want to depend on someone. Who can understand women? Even I can not understand myself. Briefly, men would never understand what women desire, curiously enough we don’t know what we want. Thank God of all.

Literature =P: A room of one’s own by Virginia Woolf
http://littlemeerkat.blogspot.com/2009/10/room-of-ones-own-by-virginia-woolf.html
Martes, 13 de octubre de 2009. A room of one’s own by Virginia Woolf. To be honest I don’t like this essay. I think it is boring, maybe because it’s about gender issues and I believe that it is not a controversial topic nowadays. However in this post I’ll focus on the need to have a space to write. When she wrote about the need of having a room of one’s own she was referring to have physical and mental space to have inspiration to write. Publicar un comentario en la entrada. Ver todo mi perfil.

http://salothuglife.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
EL Salo thug life. Monday, November 30, 2009. 1 Auden and his ideology. 2 How do we people live? 3 Who is in control of the world? 4 The consequences of living as we live. 5 Why is this topic of interest? Criticizing the way we live. Concluding, Auden gave us some hope saying, “We must love another or die”. This statement was the one that did not permit this poem being published. I really like this poem and I would recommend it. Friday, November 20, 2009. Maybe as a recommendation, I would suggest Pamela...

eL Salo_thug life: Pamela's Blog
http://salothuglife.blogspot.com/2009/11/pamelas-blog.html
EL Salo thug life. Friday, November 20, 2009. From my point of view, Pamela did a very god job comparing the unhappy woman found in the Rocking-horse winner, with Lawrence's mother and her unhappy life with her husband because of poverty. Maybe as a recommendation, I would suggest Pamela checking the punctuation of her post. Anyway, I think she did an amazing job and her works always expresses very strong ideas suppored correctly by the works we read. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
