North to Alaska: February Album
http://northtoalaska1.blogspot.com/2009/03/february-album.html
Thursday, March 26, 2009. So I thought at the end of each moth, I'd post that month's album to the blog in slide show format, as kind of a wrap up in pictures. Good idea on the month's fotos! Still looks pretty cold up there. What is the meat looking thing in a few of the pictures? March 27, 2009 at 5:29 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). North to Alaska: So where was I?
http://northtoalaska1.blogspot.com/2009/03/so-where-was-i.html
Tuesday, March 24, 2009. So where was I? Hard to keep my thoughts straight when I've been slacking! So, I should probably get started. Ok, so the first thing I'll post is some pictures from when I went ice fishing a few weeks ago. I don't really have any good shots, but it adds to the story, so I'll throw them up here anyways. We began, or I should say Roger began by using a big red auger to drill through the ice. I was out-fished [Roger: 5-6 Me: 1]. Life is good in Koda's World. Adam, this is Esther....
North to Alaska: The Fur Rondy
http://northtoalaska1.blogspot.com/2009/03/fur-rondy.html
Tuesday, March 24, 2009. A few weeks back, actually precisely on February 27th, I'm driving into work and what appears to me as an accident further up on the road, turned out to be something entirely different. As I near the barricades and police lights at the intersection in question, like a flash, a dog sled flew through the street. Ah, it all makes sense. What makes sense, you ask? Yes, they close streets downtown, and cover them with snow so they can hold sled dog races in the city! In 1925, part of ...
North to Alaska: January 2009
http://northtoalaska1.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 24, 2009. I asked Roger if he noticed anything, and while he said he didn't, we may have only been able to feel it because Curry's bedroom is in the basement. The quake was only a 2 to 3, and from what I could find out, was about 100 miles away. Here's a link to what I found out about it. Anyways, it was pretty cool. Links to this post. Thursday, January 22, 2009. Few have cut their strings and risked it all to chase their dreams. This mall also has an ice skating in it). Week or 2 pass.
North to Alaska: Forcing our settlement
http://northtoalaska1.blogspot.com/2009/03/forcing-our-settlement.html
Sunday, March 29, 2009. Curry and I spend a lot of time on our laptops. Thank God we brought them as carry-ons and didn't ship them, because the latter decision would mean that they would be sitting on the bottom of the ocean or in the hands of Russian gypsies being peddled on some shady street corner. Our pieces were shipped last week, and its wonderful to not have to chaff my ass on a metal chair. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). So where was I? An Easier Life (My Online Store). Cooking in AK
Sunday, September 24, 2006. Moldavian Fish, Tomato, and Red Pepper Casserole (Russia p. 267). As usual used double the spices in this recipe. Feta cheese was really the star, and the entire dish was very tangy and unlike any fish recipe we've ever had. Definitely a keeper! Posted by chaipo @ 7:54 PM. Lamb with Kashmiri Red Chiles (India p 144-145). Kohlrabi Greens (India p. 142-143). The Lamb was very tender and in a red sauce, which was nice and tasty. However it wasn't spectacular. To start things off,...
Running in AK
Wednesday, December 07, 2005. Las Vegas Marathon Report. Now that I have a few days between me and Las Vegas, I'm ready to do a race report! First of all, I have to commend Devine Racing for really shaping up the LV marathon. I ran the race last year. And the race organization left a LOT to be desired. This year, I thought the race organization was much better, and certainly being able to run up the strip was a super highlight. The best part is always the expo for me - it's so full of hope and excitement!

North to Alaska
Sunday, November 8, 2009. Now you don't see me, now I've covered everything in white *evil laughter*. So, it's snowing. It wasn't snowing 2 hours ago. It is kind of exciting; the first snow fall usually is, especially for this one. This came out of nowhere! There I am, watching The Amazing Race and The Next Iron Chef, recouping after this stressful weekend of work, eating nachos, and my eyes make a passing glance outside followed by a quick double take to be amazed at the quickness of accumulation. As we...
