There’s been lots of talk on the interweb. Discussing if Apps will take over the Browser one day. I’ve got a few very strong opinions in this regard:. Short term apps will win. Even as were approaching 2015 there is still a huge gap in the experience between the different platforms. Native apps have far superior performance and itegration with the operating system. You just can’t beat that right now. However. Long term there probably won’t even be a difference. Don't hesitate to drop a line.

Making your Web App feel faasssst. Just a few thoughts on how to make web apps feel fast. For example if you press save, you can remove the modal immediately instead of waiting for feedback from the server. In more than 90% of cases the saving to the server will be fine anyway so might as well make the user feel like everything is instant. Getting rid of any loading spinners is always awesome. In the rare case something goes wrong you can reopen the modal to resolve the problem. 5 Simple and clean design.

My existing blog was setup on Tumblr, which I found great to post code snippets but annoying for longer blog post. There is currently no way to upload an image directly into a post - instead you need to upload the image to a 3rd party service and then integrate pictures via html. My portfolio is powered by Behance Prosite. Now I only need to update my work on Behance and everything else happens automatically. I'm Paul.
