Of late, frenchy has more than doubled in weight. he looks like he ate himself. frenchy is the marlon brando of cats. Posted by sarah ruddy at 29.1.06. Friday, January 27, 2006. Thursday, April 27, 2006. We have an injured rabbit also. Last night i awoke in a panic, absolutley convinced that it was my immediate task to explain Revisionist Modernism in terms of rabbits. you know, there must be a way to resignify the narrative of postmodernism using rabbits. i mean, of course. Now, awake, i can make a relatively coherent statement about Revisionist Modernism. it starts with "privileging the crisis of representation." right? Well, yeah. but trying telling that to the rabbits. For e...

Thursday, October 27, 2005. I have recently watched a few episodes of the tv show "Intervention." And I will not be watching any more. Upsetting subtext: if you do anything that makes you feel better, it's bad. you are only "okay" if you feel good all the time "naturally." extend that logically: if you need to make any kind of effort, since "addictive" behaviors have been defined to include everything human beings might do except breathe, to feel good about your life, you are defective. Come to think of ...

Even ironed, starched within an inch of its life, and tightly folded, it is not all going to fit in the suitcase. Posted by sarah ruddy at 23.11.05. For my part, i discovered that he smelled mysteriously like chicken when he came back from the "bathroom." and apparently, i left some suspicious candy wrappers lying around. Thursday, September 29, 2005. Are you gonna finish that? Here's a second helping of my thoughts on music. But what am i complaining about? These fans identified with MIA by buying her album and her persona. just as i have so recently defended my right to do. Second: yet, as i suspected, this is all going somewhere. in Noise , Jacques Attali writes:. Perhaps these are the "last objective consequences" and then the present moment of "pop as solipsism" is when music "as the enemy of fate" enters into contra...

Some of you may know that one of my greatest pleasures in life is trashy magazines. no offense to these magazines is intended, since what i mean by "trashy" includes everything from the Enquirer to the New Yorker. basically, anything that's not a scholarly journal. and i love them all. First of all, Jovaughn: wow. are you EVER a douchebag. Posted by sarah ruddy at 24.5.06. Tuesday, May 16, 2006. I encourage you...
