Team MTBNJ Ramblings: June 2012
http://mtbnj.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 6, 2012. Two Ways to Bearscat. Why do people do this? I almost get knocked off my bike. Without warning, my legs cramped up so bad I almost ate it. I think to myself its way to early for this, as I spin the rest of the way to my cooler. Swap out my supplies, pound a can of coke, and off I go. Tuesday, June 5, 2012. Iggy Does the Bearscat. And it seemed to work. I made it through pickle and rattlesnake cleanly but when I looked back Clapper was not with me any longer. This time this sectio...

Team MTBNJ Ramblings: April 2012
http://mtbnj.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 20, 2012. Last but certainly not least is long time race veteran Ben. He was in the cat 3 class with Fred, and like many, just before and through Meeting House was a tough spot in his race. This is the last of the 4 part Battenkill wrap-up series. Hopefully these series wrap-ups will be an ongoing theme in 2012 for the team. The middle portions were non-eventful. 4 guys attacked going into the feed zone. Three joined them soon after. Knowing that was dangerous, a few racers incl...Other dan...

Team MTBNJ Ramblings: May 2012
http://mtbnj.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 22, 2012. I'm a roadie prick. You know this. They say the first step in addressing any problem is admitting it. I say they're out to lunch, and the first step in addressing any problem is to open a beer and think about it, preferrably on the deck or patio. If your problem just so happens to be beer, then drink wine or something. Don't ask me, I just try to ponder as much as possible these days. Like I said in the start, I'm a roadie prick. Rocks and trees and stuff? We watch the cat 2s go of...

Team MTBNJ Ramblings: A Year in Review
http://mtbnj.blogspot.com/2013/01/a-year-in-review.html
Wednesday, January 2, 2013. A Year in Review. We’re sorry there’s some dust collecting on our blog but don’t think we’ve gone into hiding. We’ve just been busy riding, racing, partying, having babies, and getting hitched (not necessarily in that order). Since 2012 is wrapping up, it might be nice to look back over the year and what went on with MTBNJ. We earned a scorching day for our 2nd annual SSSP but that didn’t scare too many people away. As the season changed to fall, some of us continued riding th...

Monday, July 22, 2013. Utah's MTB Nationals Recap - Cat 1 35-39. Life has been pretty ridiculous lately, so much so that I forgot to recap my Lewis Morris race.So lets get that out of the way first.it was hot, I had a good lap in a half, then I over heated and melted down in spectacular fashion.I made it to the finish line at walking speed. The usual result in the heat. Finally, the preface. After some warm up, I make my way to the line. The crowd is staggering. Im still with Steve more or less and still...

Tuesday, March 27, 2012. Walter's Short Track Recap. The Short Track series kicked off on March 3 with the 1. Walter’s No Frills ST race. The 1.5 mile course located on the Boy Scout property at Allamuchy was the same one used last fall for the premier of short track racing in NJ. After positive feed- back we decided to stay with the same course for the spring series for the 1. 3 races then use a newly built track built over the winter for the 4. ST race, thanks for your support ladies! While we don̵...

8230;tearing up Jersey's singletrack on a big-wheeler…. 8230;About me…. My story starts like many others. I began riding and racing bmx bikes as a kid and switched over to mountain bikes in 1993. Having a bmx kid background had me taking my mountain bike into the streets and over dirt jumps instead of in the woods though! Eventually I started riding trials and even took 2 NEPS titles before a back injury would take me out of the OT scene once and for all. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. 8230;About me….
