Heritage – Nottingham City of Literature

https://nottinghamcityofliterature.com/heritage

Lord Byron (1788 1824) was a great Romantic poet, some say the best poet writing in English at the time. Published in 1928 and threatened with censorship. His earlier novel, The Rainbow. Which won The Booker Prize in 1974....

Tone of voice is coming home

http://afia.tv/blog/did-you-know-nottingham-is-a-creative-hub-for-writers

Why we’re different. Who we work with. Tone of voice is coming home. Did you know Nottingham is a creative hub for writers? I stumbled across an interesting sign at Nottingham Station the other day #rebelnotts. It woke me up to something that’s been brewing in the city I made my home 20 years ago. It seems I ended up in a hotbed of creative talent without realising it. As I learnt more about Notts’ Rebel Writers. I discovered that Nottingham is applying to become a UNESCO City of Literature. Get your tee...

About The Old Bat. Hanging upside down from the rafters. Laquo; Ever-expanding madness. It’s Not Me, It’s You. January 2, 2015 by battypip. The first chick-lit book I read was Janice Gentle Gets Sexy. I went to the Five Leaves Bookshop. So Why am I writing about this book? I’ve been doing it for about 5 and a half years now, and it’s certainly grown. It’s also led to a ton of other stuff, which have changed my life in ways unimaginable when I first asked WordPress for some space to type my thoughts into. And a column in The Nottingham Post. To absorb some prattle, but this blog is becoming increasingly difficult to write on. That sounds l...
